Pay Rate: $72-82K Annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
Assignment Length: Direct Hire | 200-Day Academic Schedule (185 School Days + 15 ESY Days)
Our client is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Therapist to support students receiving behavioral health and educational services through direct therapy, consultation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Typical Daily Duties:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring to support educational participation and student success
- Develop measurable goals, intervention strategies, and recommendations to address communication, self-regulation, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, clinicians, behavioral health staff, families, and community providers to support student growth across settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, treatment planning sessions, behavioral consultations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide consultation, classroom strategies, and modeling to support student engagement and participation
- Maintain accurate documentation, billing records, progress notes, and electronic health records in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Promote a safe, inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology or Speech-Language Therapy program
- Current Maine Speech-Language Therapist licensure required
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school-based, behavioral health, therapeutic, or special education settings preferred
- Experience supporting students with emotional, behavioral, developmental, sensory, or mental health needs preferred
- Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and related service requirements preferred
- Ability to manage crisis situations calmly, professionally, and therapeutically
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and timely recordkeeping
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet all background screening requirements
