Duties:

  • Preparing & testing paper coatings in bench scale
  • Operating complex and specialized bench size lab equipment
  • Assisting pilot scale prototype development
  • Quality testing paper properties in support of bench, pilot, and mill scale prototyping
  • Creating & performing unusual and infrequent tests
  • Recognizing equipment malfunctions and initiating or making repairs
  • Performing basic mechanical change-over and maintenance requests
  • Upholding Sappi’s high safety standards as part of everyday work
  • Communicating results in writing & verbally

Requirements:

  • Prior laboratory experience in a professional or educational setting
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry and basic math (including algebra)
  • A degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field is preferred
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Accounting Administrator – Support a Leading Legal Practice

Pay Rate: Up to $30/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week

Our client, a large, full-service law firm, is seeking an Accounting Administrator to provide extended leave coverage. This is an important temporary opportunity offering competitive pay up to $30/hour and an anticipated assignment length of 6–8 months, starting as soon as possible to allow for training prior to the leave.

This is a hands-on, accounting-focused temporary role where you’ll serve as the primary accounting support for the firm. It’s a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working independently, following established procedures, and supporting a respected legal organization during a critical coverage period.

Typical daily duties:

  • Prepare and issue client billing statements; manage AR and client accounting
  • Process AP, vendor invoices, checks, deposits, and banking activity
  • Perform trust and legal accounting in compliance with firm procedures
  • Complete journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
  • Process payroll and prepare monthly financial reporting for partners
  • Provide additional administrative and HR support as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting assistant, accounting administrator, or similar roles
  • Strong accounting and financial skills, including payroll experience
  • Legal accounting experience preferred (TABS3 experience a plus)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
  • Comfortable stepping into existing systems and learning quickly

Typical daily duties:

  • Perform sensory and analytical testing on ingredients and product samples; record and analyze results
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, and other quality standards

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, organization, and computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
