Typical Daily Duties:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring to support educational participation and student success
  • Develop measurable goals, intervention strategies, and recommendations to address communication, self-regulation, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, and social-emotional needs

  • Provide consultation, classroom strategies, and modeling to support student engagement and participation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology or Speech-Language Therapy program
  • Current Maine Speech-Language Therapist licensure required
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school-based, behavioral health, therapeutic, or special education settings preferred
  • Experience supporting students with emotional, behavioral, developmental, sensory, or mental health needs preferred
  • Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and related service requirements preferred
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly, professionally, and therapeutically
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and timely recordkeeping
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet all background screening requirements
