Food Production Associates – Work with Food Without the Restaurant Rush!
Pay Rate: $20–$25/hr
Schedule: 1st & 2nd shift available (Mon–Fri)
Assignment Length: Temporary & Temp-to-Hire openings available
Our client in York has an ongoing need to hire candidates to support a fast-paced, award-winning food manufacturing operation across industrial kitchen prep, production cooking, and manufacturing/packaging. These positions pay $20–$25/hr and are temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities.
These are great jobs for people who enjoy hands-on, production-focused food work – from ingredient prep and quality checks to large-batch cooking – all in a structured environment without being customer-facing. Apply today!
Typical daily duties:
- Help with food prep and production tasks
- Measure, portion, and stage ingredients
- Cook large batches when assigned
- Check products for quality
- Label/tag/finish items and package as needed
- Use basic production/kitchen equipment
- Move materials with pallet jack/pallet truck (forklift in some areas)
- Keep work areas clean and follow food safety rules
- Complete required paperwork and report any is
What we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred in some areas)
- Large-batch or institutional cooking experience a plus for cook roles
- Food production/manufacturing experience and pallet jack skills a plus
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills; strong attention to detail
- Able to stand and move throughout the shift in a fast-paced setting
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexible for overtime and possible Saturdays
