Field IT Support Specialist – Support State Project in the Field
Attention IT professionals! We’re hiring a Field IT Support Specialist for a day-shift role supporting our client on a high-visibility statewide project for the State of Maine.
This opportunity supports critical operations across Maine. This position pays $24–$25/hr and is a long-term contract.
This is a unique, people-facing field IT role ideal for someone who enjoys state-wide travel, hands-on troubleshooting, and helping end users succeed in a meaningful public-sector environment. Apply today!
Typical daily duties:
• Provide on-site IT support at multiple locations
• Troubleshoot user issues and Microsoft-based systems
• Train and guide users through new technology and system changes
• Identify system limitations and communicate findings to project teams
• Assess user technical skill levels and training needs
What we’re looking for:
• Ability to travel statewide in Maine (own vehicle & clean driver’s license required)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft products
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work patiently and professionally with non-technical users
TRAVEL REQUIRED STATEWIDE – Home base in the Augusta area is strongly preferred.
