Paid Summer Engineering Internship – Launch Your Career in Medical Device Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Assignment Length: 10–12 weeks

We are hiring Paid Summer Engineering Interns for our client, a leader in medical device manufacturing in Westbrook, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. These positions are paid and are approximately 10–12 weeks in length.

This is a hands-on, high-impact internship where you’ll gain real-world experience working with facilities and utility equipment within GMP and cleanroom environments – perfect for engineering students looking to build technical depth and industry exposure.

Typical daily duties:

• Support facilities operations—run automation systems and assist with hands-on troubleshooting
• Create and update training materials, SOPs, and technical documents
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve processes and resolve issues
• Assist with retraining technicians and ensuring adherence to procedures and quality standards
• Leverage Lean methodologies to drive process improvements and efficiency
• Troubleshoot equipment and materials, escalating findings as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives

What we’re looking for:

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Biochemical, or Biomedical Engineering
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and hands-on problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow and communicate technical instructions clearly
• (Preferred) Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments (GMP, FDA, ISO 13485)
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods
