2nd Shift Utility Worker – Stay Active, Work Nights!
Pay Rate: $19/hr ($18 base + $1/hr shift differential)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 5:15p–2:45a + Friday 12p–4p
Assignment Length: Temporary
We’re hiring a 2nd Shift Utility Worker for our valued client in Newport! This positions offers $19/hr and is temporary through Labor Day with potential to turn into a long-term opportunity, making it perfect for someone looking to get a foot in the door.

Typical daily duties:
• Operate and maintain equipment related to water systems and grinders (including J-Press)
• Clean and maintain tanks, piping, and work areas; perform pressure washing as needed
• Support general facility upkeep including sweeping, stocking supplies, and maintaining common areas
• Assist maintenance team during breakdowns and support wood waste/sludge handling processes
• Safely operate equipment such as fork trucks, scissor lifts, bobcats, and floor sweepers
• Clean and maintain tanks, piping, and work areas; perform pressure washing as needed

What we’re looking for:
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or general labor/support role
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, and working in various conditions
• Valid Maine driver’s license required
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with ability to work as part of a team
