Placement & Career Services Developer – Help Agricultural Workers Throughout Maine

Pay Rate: $17–$21/hr based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday (some weekend & evening flexibility needed)
Assignment Length: Temp-to-hire

Are you passionate about helping others build successful careers while making a meaningful impact throughout Maine communities? We’re hiring a Placement & Career Services Developer for our client, a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting agricultural workers and their families across the state. This immediate opening offers $17-$21/hr based on experience and is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential.

This is a high-impact, community-based role that requires extensive travel throughout a large portion of Maine. Rather than working primarily from an office, you’ll spend much of your time on the road meeting with participants, employers, community organizations, and training providers. If you enjoy building relationships, working independently, and being out in the community, this could be an excellent fit. Apply today!

Typical daily duties:

  • Conduct outreach, recruitment, and job development activities to connect participants with employment and training opportunities
  • Travel throughout Maine to meet with participants, employers, agricultural workers, and community partners
  • Maintain accurate participant records and develop individualized employment and training plans
  • Attend community events, job fairs, site visits, and employer meetings to expand program engagement
  • Participate in case management meetings and provide updates on participant progress and outcomes

What we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of experience in job training, placement services, workforce development, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required, as regular travel is a key part of the position and a shared company vehicle is not always available. Mileage reimbursement is provided when using your personal vehicle for business travel.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills with a passion for helping others succeed
  • Ability to work independently, manage a travel-heavy schedule, and cover a broad service area throughout Maine
  • Outgoing personality with confidence presenting to groups and engaging diverse populations
