General Machinist – 1st Shift Opportunity in Gray

Pay Rate: $21.13 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–3:45PM
Assignment Length: T2H

We’re looking for a skilled General Machinist to join a trusted, high‑performance manufacturing team in Gray! This opportunity offers a steady weekday schedule, a positive and collaborative environment, and the chance to work with advanced equipment in a clean, well‑run facility. This position pays $21.13 per hour and is temp-to-hire with strong long-term potential.

Typical Daily Duties:

  • Operate and maintain milling machines (manual & CNC), drill presses, band saws, and fabrication equipment
  • Review drawings, blueprints, 3D models, and instructions for accurate production
  • Select appropriate machine settings, cutting speeds/feeds, and tooling for optimal fabrication
  • Measure and inspect completed units to ensure specifications and quality standards
  • Provide feedback to engineers/designers and assist with new equipment/process implementation
  • Fabricate custom fixtures and support line startups and changeovers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to pass a vision and dexterity test
  • Experience setting up and operating milling machines (manual & CNC)
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Associate’s Degree in Machine Tool or similar, or equivalent experience
  • CAD/SolidWorks experience is a plus
