We have an ongoing need for Industrial Sawmill Laborers at a busy and reputable client site in Ashland. Read on to learn more.

This is the kind of job where your work speaks for you. Show up on time, keep up with the line, and work safe – and you’ll do well here. It’s hands-on, physical work that keeps you moving all shift.

If you’re dependable, show up every day, and have reliable transportation, you can earn a permanent spot (typically in about 2-3 months) and work your way up.

Daily work includes:

  • Handling and stacking lumber throughout the shift
  • Running and supporting sawmill equipment and production flow
  • Keeping production moving safely and efficiently
  • Working in varying conditions (dust, noise, heat/cold)

Qualities we’re looking for:

  • Ability to lift and move material for the full 12-hour shift
  • Punctuality + consistent attendance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic and good judgment/critical thinking
  • Safety-first attitude and commitment to safe work practices

Sawmill or industrial experience is great, but our client is happy to train candidates that can demonstrate they are reliable and motivated.

Understanding the process:

You’ll meet with Manpower first, then if selected to move forward we will schedule an in-person interview with a hiring manager at the mill. If you’re a match, turnaround is typically fast. We’ll discuss your start date — ASAP is great, but we can accommodate a reasonable notice period too for those that are currently employed elsewhere.
