CNC Turret Press Setup/Operator – New Machines, New Opportunities

We’re hiring 3 skilled machine operators in Bangor — 1 Turret Press Setup/Operator and 2 Press Brake Operators — to support expansion at a growing local manufacturer. These roles pay $21+/hr DOE and are Temp-to-Hire opportunities with long-term growth potential.

This is a chance to work with brand-new CNC machinery in a modern facility — an exciting opportunity to build your career while contributing to cutting-edge production.

Typical daily duties:

• Set up and run a CNC turret punch press with minimal supervision
• Assemble and maintain punches and dies; perform daily maintenance
• Produce first samples, inspect using measuring tools, and edit programs as required
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, scrap, and completed parts
• Maintain program database and recommend tooling purchases

What we’re looking for:

• Certificate from a college/technical school OR 3–6 months of relevant experience/training
• Strong math skills (algebra, geometry, proportions, percentages, volume, etc.)
• Ability to read blueprints, follow written/oral instructions, and solve problems with common sense reasoning

What you bring:

  • Successful completion of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Pre-Service Law Enforcement Training Program OR active Law Enforcement Officer Certification from another state
  • Prior law enforcement experience
  • High level of discretion with confidential information
  • Professional, calm, and observant demeanor
