Education Marketing & Communications Professional
Pay: $40+ per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday Days (with flexibility for travel & events)

Our client, a governmental agency, is seeking a seasoned marketing expert to join their communications team on a limited-period contracted basis. In this hybrid remote position, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to develop, implement, and coordinate impactful promotional and marketing campaigns. Your work will contribute to raising awareness of Maine education programs, aiding local and state-level recovery from the pandemic’s impact, and fostering educational growth for students and schools alike.
This position is designed to be hybrid providing flexibility in work location and involves travel 2-3 times a month throughout Maine using your own vehicle.

• Planning and managing media events to get more people engaged and interested.
• Building & boosting presence on a wide variety of social media platforms to connect and engage with education stakeholders.
• Using sound research to assess how well marketing efforts are working and adjust strategies as needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or 4 years of experience in marketing, advertising, media, or related communication fields.
• Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain productive business, community, and media relationships.
• Proficiency in advanced marketing, promotion, and communication methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of media technicalities and operations, including graphic design, video production, and editing technologies.
• Familiarity with organizational development theories, strategic planning, and branding concepts.
• Experience with professional website and social media editing, content development, and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative to work independently and drive projects to success.
