Powdercoat Operator – Join a Clean, Modern Metals Fabrication Environment

Pay Rate: $23–$27/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Assignment Length: Temp-to-Hire

Our client in Biddeford is immediately hiring an experienced Powdercoat Operator to join their climate-controlled metals fabrication facility. This is a new opening offering competitive pay of $23–$27/hour and a temp‑to‑hire opportunity with outstanding benefits once hired permanently.

This is a hands-on, skilled manufacturing role ideal for someone with proven powder‑coating experience who values quality, consistency, and working in a well‑maintained, modern shop.

Typical daily duties:

• Pick up and hang parts on an overhead conveyor
• Phosphate and thoroughly dry parts
• Mask and plug required areas
• Powder coat parts according to Job Travelers (work orders)
• Move parts through curing oven and set oven temperatures to specifications
• Perform cure tests and mil‑spec tests to ensure quality and repeatability
• Inspect materials for defects or damage affecting finish quality
• Maintain daily/weekly preventive maintenance logs
• Operate battery‑operated pallet jack once certified

What we’re looking for:

• Prior powder‑coating experience (required)
• Ability to interpret Job Travelers and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
• Knowledge of powder‑coating operations and pressurized systems
• Ability to identify material types
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours per day with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and powder coating
